Blessing Connection is a key element of LWIC, as we aim to support members of our Community in a tangible way
The Blessing Connection (BC) team is a key element of LWIC. Our aim is to support members of the community and local charities in a tangible way.
On the 2nd Sunday of every month, the BC team showcases a wide variety of donated household and non-perishable food items at one of our church locations. Anyone can pick items up from the Blessing Connection table. We also encourage people to pack a bag for their friends and neighbours too.
Once a year, the BC team organises a celebration and thanksgiving service to mark the Harvest season. Any monetary donations received during this period is used to support families in the community, two local charities: Slough Food Bank and Slough Homeless Our Concern (SHOC) and residential care homes.
