A vibrant group of youngsters between the age of 13 and 18 years who are passionate about our Lord Jesus and committed to shining as light in our generation.
Our Vision, Purpose and Objectives
to raise up young adults who are on fire for the Lord. Youth who through fellowship get to know and understand what it means to be a Christian and are ready to live for Christ.
- To provide an atmosphere where the youth are free to ask questions and receive sound counsel and advice.
- To provide an environment for our youths to develop friendship with fellow Christian youths.
- To teach them the Word of God in a manner relevant to them and expose them to ministry in the church.
- To encourage them to use their gifts and talents in the house of God and for the glory of God.
- To teach them how to live in this modern world and make an impact in their world.
- To give them understanding of life and the issues of life.

What We Do
Meet regularly every Friday from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
Youth Weekend: A fun-filled, life changing weekend for our youth and the church. This also gives the youth the opportunity to showcase their gifts and talents and to grow spiritually.
Benefits
Our youth are provided with a platform to develop health friendship with one another.
We encourage further education and learning and give them necessary support when required.
Their spiritual development is enhanced by their involvement in teams within the church. This gives them first hand experience of church ministry.
We provide a forum for them to discuss issues that affect youth and we offer solution and counsel from the Word of God.
We encourage youths to develop their gifts and talents through their involvement in church ministry and events i.e annual convention, music, drama, music, poetry, carol service etc
We organize outings that facilitate team building and enhance social skills.
The youths are given the platform to share and discuss their understanding of church messages which enhances their understanding of the Word of God.
Church messages are made more relevant to the youth by bringing practical examples that relate to their world.

YOUTH SUNDAY (25TH SEPT 2011)
Chosen Generation, the youth fellowship at Living Word would like to invite you to our Youth Sunday on the 25th of September. We will be taking over the running of the church service on the day. The theme of this year’s service is TRUST. This an opportunity for everyone to see what God is doing in our lives as teenagers. We are growing in knowledge and wisdom and enjoying life in the kingdom. We will minister to you with a variety of presentations and performances that will showcase the talents and skills God has blessed us with.
The day starts at the usual service time, 10.30am but with the youth running the whole show. We will take over the roles of the choir, ushers, DSMs (Duty Service Managers), hospitality, announcements, prayers, Media, Technical and of course the role of the Pastor as well so our pastor can take a break and be ministered to by us.
Every year, the youth weekend gets better. We are always blessed to minister to you and we know you will receive and discover something new about us. So we look forward to ministering to you over this coming Sunday. Please do come along with your family and friends and give us the encouragement to stand out for Jesus in our generation. Thank you.
