On Sunday the 7th of March, the men rolled up their sleeves to wash cars and sell home baked refreshments to church members after the Sunday worship service. Church members also voluntarily donated books which were sold after the service with all proceeds going to help the victims of Haiti’s recent earthquake. In total £580 was raised as a result of the fund raising activities. The church kindly added to the funds raised making a total of £1000 which was presented to the Samaritans Purse representative, Doreen Lisney at the Friday evening service on the 9th of April. Before the presentation, Doreen gave an overview of the amazing work being done by Samaritans Purse in Haiti. Pastor Sesan also thanked Church members for their generous support and commended Samaritans Purse for the excellent work being done on the behalf of the people of Haiti.Â
