Mission Statement: experiencing God through praise and worship, bringing healing to many with the help of the Holy Spirit, and magnifying The Word.
Membership Strength: We currently have 23 chior member which comprises of 3 instrumentalists (Drummer, Bass Guitarist and keyboardist) and 11 worship team members.
Our Goal: To grow numerically with an orchestra-type band with different musical instruments.
To build, equip and develop the skills/abilities of all members and ensure that each reaches his/her full potencials.
It is also our goal to see the young talents on our local assemblygrow and become members of the choir hence we organise training sessions for them to discover thier gifting in music and help them develop these gifts. one of the church’s focal points is Creativity in all forms and the young ones are not left out as they are the future of the church.Â
Songs: We so much believe in diversity and due to the multi-national setting of the church, we cut across all boundaries when it comes to music. We also have a worship team of 11 memebers and this team meets twice weekly to pray and practise together. We believe that a team that prays together makes more power avaliable whenever it stands to minister, thereby being a blessing to its audience.
God has been so faithful to us in that we have enthusiastic members who are willing to learn and are of a teachable spirit.
Training: In order to keep developing ourselves the church organizes programmes to facilitate this. In 2009 we had a vocal trainig seminar conducted by Nicki Rodgers courtesy of Music Academy. The training seminar was of great benefit to every individual and to the choir as a whole because since the training there has been trmendous changes in the way we sing and we has an opportunity to purchase vocal training cd’s in order for us to continue building ourselves. Our Senior Pastor meets with the choir every two months to train them on the fundamentals of the ministry because the chior ministry is not just about singing, it’s a ministry were firmness in the Word of God is vital for us to be effective ministers.
Outreach: We reach out to our local community every yeah with our ‘Christmas Carol Specials’ , which is somethimes done on the Slough High Street during the Christmas season. We also minister at Farnham Free Chapel Methodist Chuch at various occasions during the year including Christmas Time. From time to time our choir is invited to minister in different churches.
