On the 31st of December, Pastor delivered the message that God had for us for 2009. It was an awesome word. At the end of the night everyone left with a new sense of purpose and expectation. The Lord said to us that it is a year of great accomplishments. In 2009, we will achieve great things. We will see positive results in every area of our lives. This is not a year to struggle. It is a year that will produce effortlessly for those who know their God.
The main text was taken from Daniel 11:32, ‘…but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.’ Pastor emphasized that a strong relationship with God is very important this year and admonished us to make it our priority to know God more than ever before. We should get acquainted with His Word and hold on to it even when things seem contrary. The knowledge of Him will produce boldness and strength to do great things. Hallelujah!
Having told Joshua all that He will give Him and the children of Israel, God said to him, ‘…only be thou strong and of a good courage’ (Joshua 1: 7). Notice it says only i.e God has done the big job, the hard bit. We ONLY have to be strong and take hold of what He has already made available to us.
Pastor addressed the students challenging them to expect the best results this year; the businessmen, families, individuals to expect a great harvest, favour and promotion beyond their imaginations in 2009. (Ephesians 3:20) .
